Résumé / Abstract

This proceedings volume comprises papers of most of the presentations held during the meeting. The EURO working group on urban traffic and transportation was established in July 1991 during the EURO summer institute in Cetraro Italy. EURO, the association of the European operational research societies within IFORS, organizes each year meetings on specific application areas of the operations research methods and tools. These meetings provide an opportunity particularly to young researchers of exchanging experiences and research results with European colleagues and well-known experts in the corresponding fields. The second meeting after the establishment of the EURO working group on urban traffic and transportation was organized in Paris, France 15-17 September 1993. The meeting consisted in the following five sessions: traffic flow modelling, assignment problems, general urban problems public transport and traffic control. le groupe de travail EURO sur la gestion du trafic et les transports a été mis en place en juillet 91 durant l'école d'été EURO à Cetraro, en Italie. EURO, l'association des sociétés européennes de recherche opérationnelle dans IFORS (fédération internationale des sociétés de recherche opérationnelle) organise chaque année des conférences relatives aux applications des outils et méthodes de la recherche opérationnelle. Près de trente communications ont été présentées au cours de cinq sessions thématiques : la modélisation de l'écoulement du trafic, le guidage des véhicules, les aspects généraux du trafic, les transports en commun, la régulation du trafic.
