Résumé / Abstract
In this paper, we propose to analyze a wideband long-arm Vivaldi antenna for use as transmitter in a reverberation chamber through numerical modeling. The main part of the paper deals with the validation of the numerical model used. Full-wave, time-domain simulations of electromagnetic fields in a reverberation chamber are performed with the commercial software CST microwave studio with userdefined waveforms and metallic losses and they are compared to results from WIPL-D. Both the scattering parameter of the transmit antenna and the statistical E-field distributions are used to validate our numerical approach.
