Résumé / Abstract
Water management is crucial for PEMFC performance and lifetime. Because water content in the fuel cell is highly dependent on its operating conditions, a real-time monitoring of the state of health is required. This article is centered on drying or flooding detection based on the spatial signature of the cells voltage. Voltage measurement is a simple and non-intrusive monitoring technique, and a very low number of sensors are needed for the presented technique. The flooding detection has been validated on a 20-cell PEMFC stack.
