Résumé / Abstract

This paper presents the French CAS SICE project developed by five academic laboratories The aim of this project is to develop a system enabling the acquisition of this information to be automated and for it thus to become an aid for the ex post analysis of road situations and behaviour. This project needs a tight collaboration between the psychologists an the engineers. The system is based the development of an experimental vehicle including a lot of sensors an electronic embedded systems Then a time stamped data base is built in order to provide a continuous detailed description of the various road situations encountered throughout the high way journey and of drivers' behaviour in relation to those situations
