Résumé / Abstract
The title hints at the attention given in the history of econometrics literature to the peculiar lack of probability considerations in the econometric work of the recognized pioneer of econometrics Ragnar Frisch. Among the questions posed are what Ragnar Frisch thought about probability in econometrics and what kind of concerns prevented him from embracing probability in statistical inference? The major works on the history of econometrics have with regard to Frisch been handicapped by limited access to archival remains. The paper argues by displaying some selected archival exhibits with comments. The exhibits have largely never been published or displayed. Our contention is that these exhibits suggest that the role of Ragnar Frisch in the history of econometrics has not been fully appreciated due to insufficient access to sources.
