Résumé / Abstract
A method has been developed for studying the reduction of aircraft annoyances by modifying flight paths during operations of commercial aircraft approach. Numerical optimization generating optimal flight paths minimizing noise levels, fuel consumption and therefore pollutant emissions is used. The method presented in this paper is global, includes problem restrictions and describes noise sources and their patterns, aerodynamic, propulsive and fuel consumption models. In addition, constraints are formulated as penalties. Mathematical formulation leads to a multiobjective optimal control model, which is solved by direct method for open-loop and closed-loop cases. Optimal flight paths reducing aircraft emissions are achieved and their environmental impacts are discussed.
