Résumé / Abstract
Integrating satellite localization technologies in railway applications has been shown feasiblegiven diverse tested applications and projects conduced on this topic. It is a strategic solution because this one overcomes the disadvantages of the current technologies based on infrastructure deployed along tracks. A dependability analysis has to be completed on the satellite-based positioning system that will be implemented in trains in order to prove that railway requirements are meet or not, especially if this system is used in safety applications. However no methods exist to analyse such signal propagation-based system, which is furthermore subject to failures provoked by environment effects. In this paper, two approaches are proposed, one based on a Petri net model of the system, the other on an operational experience feedback analysis.
