Résumé / Abstract
The document provides a study about possible technological solutions to reduce the number of accidents on level crossings. The basis for the study is the results of FP 6 projects dealing with advanced technology with special regard on the ground transport application. As a structure for the study a suitable concept of modularisation of a generic level crossing safety system is used. A set of possible technical solutions and improvements of contemporary technology are elaborated. The focus is given to the results of FP 6 projects dealing with advanced technology with special regard on the ground transport application, object detection equipments etc. The study is extended by a set of recommendation how to increase the human awareness and respect to the level crossing safety system connected with proposed technical solutions. The special attention is given to the analysis ofthe impact of human factors in the level crossing safety context., RAPPORT DE CONTRAT
