Résumé / Abstract
This paper seeks too formulate an effective layered finite beam-element for the nonlinear of plane RC-structures subjected to monotonic, cyclic and seismic loadings. We will start by deriving our finite element, the vector of inner forces and the tangent stiffness matrix, based upon the theorem of virtual power. Herein the geometrical nonlinearity will be considered. Then we will present the applied constitutive materiel models for concrete and reinforcing steel, based upon the second law of thermodynamics. The effect of tension stiffening will be taken into account. The implantation will be presented to illustrate the capabilities and limits of the proposed model.
