Résumé / Abstract
This paper proposes an overview of the experimental approach used at INRETS (France), to develop the knowledge on the driver-vehicle system in actual driving situations. Some results of two experiments carried out in controlled situations, on the open road and on test tracks, with a dedicated instrumented car, are presented. The limits of controlled situations are then discussed. As a better identification of driving situations involving high dynamic performances is necessary, a new method, enabling to collect automatically data on the driver behaviour on itineraries corresponding to his own mobility requirements is proposed. The technical solutions chosen are described, and some examples of possible analyses are given.
