Résumé / Abstract
The transverse argumental vibration of a beam excited axially by an harmonic motion transmitted through intermittent or permanent elasticcontact is studied. Previous results have shown, using a smooth model and the averaging method, that a vibration in the fundamental trans-verse mode of the beam can occur when the frequency of the excitation is an even multiple (greater than 2) of the frequency of the fundamentaltransverse mode. A few properties of the smooth model are brought out in symbolic form, namely the conditions of occurrence of the stationaryregime, formulas pertaining to the excitation threshold, and the precision of the assessment of said thresholds. An all-case upper bound of the relative error about the value of the excitation threshold is given.
