Résumé / Abstract
Supply Chain Management is a multidisciplinary concept, widely used in logistics and strategic management literature. It has traditionally been employed for the analysis of industrial firm's behaviour to cope with increased competition at global level. Some authors suggest that it could be an appropriate concept for the analysis of the competitive positioning of ports. Against this background the purpose of this paper is to find common ground over the definitions, methodologies and the usefulness of research results of Supply Chain analysis, in order to develop a new research agenda for maritime studies. It will be based on both an extended literature review on Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management and on experts' opinions, collected via the administration of a questionnaire.
