Résumé / Abstract
This document reviews the status of side impact dummy developments in Europe. Side impact harmonisation, new restraint systems and higher levels of required occupant protection in side impact are the incentive for intensified research and development work in this area. For the present, new hardware options and certification procedures for the EUROSID-I have been developed. This document gives some background and evidence for the modifications.
