Résumé / Abstract
The paper presents the implementation process of a France-California research. The aim of this research is to evaluate how new technologies, socio-economical approaches and drivers behavior analysis can help to implement road pricing strategies in California and in France. The California approach is based on existing pricing policies already implemented on selected heavy traveled corridors in Southern California, while the French part focuses on new policies and satellite technologies to implement new road pricing strategies for trucks. The research teams work in close cooperation and elaborate cross exchanges to maximize the outputs for the French and California Dots as well as for local transportation authorities dealing with road pricing issues.
