Résumé / Abstract
A numerically efficient method for calculating the sound pressure from a line source over flat ground with arbitrary impedance is presented in this paper. The method takes advantage of a simplification of the integrals of the involved green function in the case of flat ground. This leads to significantly lower computational effort. The present method is shown to be in good agreement with analytical approximations available from literature. Predictions of relative sound pressure levels have been compared to measurements in the case of a monopole radiating above an absorbing ground, an impedance step and an absorbing strip embedded in a rigid baffle. In all three cases, the concordance is good.
