Résumé / Abstract
The work presented in this chapter follows a qualitative approach to implement direct rationality tests on households' expectations. In the first section, the survey data and the results obtained with the quantitative approach are presented. The second section introduces the qualitative analysis by computing a synthetic index of perceptions and expectations based on contingency tables. The third section presents the methodology of Gourieroux-Pradel test (1986) and its implementation on the INSEE conjunctural surveys data. The fourth section defines the expectations processes corresponding to the structure of qualitative answers of each household. This allows us to count the distribution of expectation processes among the population in each period.
