Résumé / Abstract
Aiming to sustainable mobility there is a need for a follow-up of urban transport traffic and for a better understanding of the changes in behaviour according to new policy measures. The main interest is shifting from the most accurate description of traffic for infrastructure planning, to a better understanding of individual behaviour, not only during one day but all over the year. Advantages and drawbacks of conventional trips based surveys and of frequency based new methodology are considered, and their complementarily appears. We will consider under what conditions this type of survey on frequencies can be transformed into a longitudinal instrument for the measurement of changes in travel behaviour (general structure of questionnaire, survey design etc.).
