Résumé / Abstract
Several studies have been conducted for 5 years with the driving simulator of inrets-lesco. The main objective was to integrate this tool within the design process of advanced driving aiding systems. For different aiding functions, it was observed that the tests on driving simulator are able to differentiate various parameter tuning or alternative modes of information presentation. The aids for maintaining limit speed by active gas pedal and by visual display and those to announce by visual display the risk of collision were particularly studied. It was demonstrated that the results observed on the driving simulator are in close agreement with those observed on tests tracks.
