Résumé / Abstract
This research is part of the Human Engineering Program developed at INRETS. One of the aims of this program is to develop a computational model of the driver. This model, called COSMODRIVE, is a cognitive simulation model. One of its main components is a driving knowledge base. In this paper, we focus on the knowledge modeling problem. After briefly describing the background of this research, we analyze the main characteristics of driving knowledge and we present the formalism used in COSMODRIVE for representing it: the 'driving frames'. The computational description of driving frames is realized with the Object Oriented Modeling Technique of Rumbaugh (OMT).
