Résumé / Abstract
This paper presents a new approach for air traffic modelling of a multi-origin destination (o/d) network. After presenting the air traffic flow management problem encountered and the limits of existing models to solve the problem of airspace congestion in Western Europe, we present a new model based on a macroscopic approach using traffic flows. The aim of this research is to provide a dynamic on-line model which permits real-time traffic flow control. Simulations using the model developed are performed in order to validate its underlying concepts.
