Résumé / Abstract
When the relationships between annoyance and noise are considered, signifiant but moderate correlations can be observed between the two phenomena. The physical noise levels explain only 35 to 40% of the variance in individual responses to annoyance. These strong individual differences must be analysed in order to develop a better annoyance response model and establish more accurate predictions to improve regulations. We believe that inter-cultural comparisons can assist in understanding the dispersion phenomenon of responses to noise
