Résumé / Abstract
Experimental evaluation conducted with simulated driving aid systems allowed to set up some first results in terms of supporting processes versus interference processes for the elderly when using systems while driving. This approach, which must continue, gave already some elements in order to set relevant criteria to consider for the optimisation of the driving aids use. Taking into account the requirements of this population, when designing and conceiving ergonomics of these systems interface, should lead to improve acceptance and usability, with direct consequences on road safety. New technologies, implemented in car will be of a common use tomorrow, and might constitute an effective support for the elderly drivers having some functional deficiencies, if, and only if, these systems are already set up with the aim to answer to these specific requirements.
