Résumé / Abstract
The assessment of vehicle emissions in a town such as Mexico city seems to be essential as pollution due to photochemicals, in particular ozone, generates an increasingly critical situation. Up to now, measurements of pollutant unit emissions have been carried out from standardized driving cycles, specific to each country. These cycles are not representative of vehicle actual operating conditions. This paper presents the results of two studies at a French and European scale, aimed at assessing CO, CO2, HC, NOx, particulates and PAH unit emissions using realistic kinematic cycles which have been defined from accurate data collected during surveys on the actual vehicle uses. A measurement campaign has been carried out in Mexico city. An on-board measurement system, called a mini-CVS (Constant Volume Sampler), has been used. The results obained allowed the study of vehicle emission impact on ozone formation in the Mexico city case.
