Résumé / Abstract
The STRADA model presented in this paper is the discretized of version a continuous first order traffic flow model for networks, which integrates a split of traffic densities according to destination and is consequently suitable for dynamic assignment problems. A prominent feature of the model is its versatility it is adequate for the description of traffic flow on freeway networks as well as on dense urban networks. Another distinctive feature is the description of the intersections, which can be modelled with and arbitrary degree of precision, down to the level of individual movements if required.
