Résumé / Abstract
This paper describes the software modelling of a series hybrid electric-i.c. engine driveline used in a private vehicle. A method of controlling driveline operation as a function of battery energy and driver demand is detailed. The influence of the choice of an i.c. engine operating curve on vehicle consumption and emissions is presented for several types of use. A comparison is made of the results obtained regarding consumption and emissions between the hybrid vehicle and an equivalent i.c. engine vehicle. Also included is an assessment of the overall emission balance at vehicle level and electricity production.
