Résumé / Abstract
Road data sensors (loops) when combined with adequate storage or telematics equipment provide individual characteristics of the traffic: individual speeds, lengths, time of passage. Time or space gaps can be identified positions and gaps between the vehicles on adjacent lanes can also be obtained. This communication presents the general interest of such measurements and their use on the French motorway a31, one of the sites of the drive 'Melyssa' project.
