Résumé / Abstract
In urban areas traffic noise, considered as one of the greatest public annoyances, is often generated by unstable traffic. This instability is due to traffic regulation devices, which generate acceleration/deceleration events, whose size depends on driving behaviour. The aim of this work is to provide a model with which to predict sound levels of traffic noise for different traffic regulation devices. Information concerning vehicle noise emissions and a traffic flow description are integrated into this model.
